Life is never just one thing. Contradictions abound, and I’m a perfect example. I’m new as a REALTOR®—I earned my sales license in 2017. But I grew up with REALTOR® parents, lived in seven states and have bought and sold many homes, so I’m a real estate veteran, too. I love houses, decorating and imagining the possibilities each home offers.
My business background includes years of working with clients I’ve never seen. Another contradiction! As a sales rep for a company that specialized in promotional products—think logo-imprinted awards and giveaway items, mainly for hospitals and healthcare companies—my day featured cold calls and lots of turn-downs, all by phone.
But eventually I established repeat clients who appreciated my friendly approach, listening skills, efforts to build relationships, persistence and dedication to accuracy (nobody pays for 10,000 pens engraved with spelling errors!). I’ve also been the administrative assistant to top management of a large commercial-development company.
I can’t imagine a better way to prepare for a career in real estate. When I left the promotions business, one client said I was the best sales friend he had never met. My real-life friends say I’m smart, loving, caring and stubborn. I’ll add honest, both silly and serious, and someone who can laugh at herself. I’m a competitive, capable, compassionate relationship-builder who loves hearing, or telling, a good story.
And I don’t stop there. I have a deep interest in essential oils and other homeopathic treatments for stress and healing. As a Foot Zone therapist, I help rejuvenate the body through the four zones of the feet. Maybe you’re not on this path, but my interests speak to my compassion and my desire to help others, whether in wellness issues or in your next real estate transaction. No contradiction there!
